March 3-7
Learning Target 3rd: Review for Chapter 1 Quiz on Thursday. (Complete the chapter review on page 22.)

Learning Target 4th: Review for Chapter 1 Quiz on Thursday. (Mental Review Activity-Use review "check-off sheet" to help you study.)

Learning Target 5th: CHAPTER 1 QUIZ

Learning Target 6th: Students should begin to develop an understanding of Washington's GEOLOGY and major geological features.

(Watch a National Geographic Video "Born of Fire."  MAP QUIZ TOMORROW.)

Learning Target 7th: MAP QUIZ.  Students will understand the pangaea theory, identify the ring of fire, and the historic eruption of Mt. St. Helens.

 March 10-14

Learning Target 10-11th: To explain how geology has shaped the land and history of Washington State.
(Make flash cards for Ch.2 terms, take Cornell Notes from PowerPoint Presentation **SEE LECTURE NOTES, create 10 quiz questions for Ch. 2: You write them based on the information of ch. 2.)

Learning Target 12th: To gain the skills needed to speak comfortably and confidently in front of a group.
(Students will research ANY INTERESTING TOPIC IN WA, gather information and prepare a 2-minute presentation to the class; presentations: TOMORROW and FRIDAY)

Learning Target 13th: Washington 1-2 minute presentations.

Learning Target 14th: Washington 1-2 minute presentations.  (Finish writing 10 questions for a Chapter 2 Quiz.)

March 24-28 and March 31-April 4

Students should continue gathering research for the Kennewick Man persuasive essay (Legal Brief).  By the April 1, students should be putting their research together to write their legal briefs.
